The Divergence Cloud Engineering Immersive (CEI) is an integrated Cloud Computing and Cloud Security program. A Cloud Security Engineer enables organizations to design and implement secure workloads and infrastructure. By understanding security best practices and industry security requirements, these individuals design, develop and manage a secure infrastructure by leveraging Cloud security technologies. This program blends theoretical and practical elements—exposing you to the craft, science, and practice of Cloud Computing, DevOps, and Cloud Security related technologies. You'll gain a technical point of view and a historical and application-orientated perspective. We deep dive into how Cloud Computing and Cloud Security work and examine how to harness their impressive strengths for secure and affordable software design and efficient technological operations.
Student experience

Our comprehensive course is 400 hours in duration and can be completed in three different schedules: 10 weeks from Mon to Fri between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 20 weeks from Mon to Fri between 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. We also offer weekend cohorts Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 6 PM. Each course includes 200 hrs of theory and 200 hrs of hands-on labs. All course times reflect the Central time-zone.

Course details

Secure Infrastructure: Prepare to apply the Linux and Cloud administration skills towards implementing, managing, and monitoring identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment, plus provision, size, monitor, and adjust resources through automation with scripting – PowerShell, Bash and Command Line Interface (CLI).

Secure DevOps: This module provides an entry-level understanding of standard DevSecOps practices, processes, and tools. You will learn how to support the DevSecOps transformation and increase security capabilities without the need for gating processes. Explore frameworks, tools, and technologies to secure code from the blueprint to execution which includes Accounts and access, Team and integrations, Projects, and monitoring.

Secure Cloud Services with Pentesting: Understand the tools, techniques, and procedures (TTP) to pentest multiple cloud services across leading cloud providers. A few of these TTP include privilege escalation, finding vulnerabilities in containers, discovery restrictions of cloud environments, sources of exposure, mapping cloud environments, and common cloud attacks.

Cloud Security Jobs: Equip yourself to succeed in a career such as Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or QA Tester.

Prerequisites: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and AWS Essentials. Minimum of 2 years of Professional IT Experience in Software Development or IT Infrastructure Administration. Associate's Degree. Complete Cloud Tech Prep course prior to program start.
