Notice of Student Complaint Procedure

Dear Students:

This school has a Certificate of Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).

The TWC-assigned school number is: S4739.

The school's programs are approved by TWC, as well as other applicable Texas state agencies and relevant accrediting bodies.

Addressing Concerns

Students must address their concerns about this school or any of its educational programs by following the grievance process outlined in the school's catalog. Schools are responsible for ensuring and documenting that all students have received a copy of the school's grievance procedures and for describing these procedures in the school's published catalog. If, as a student, you were not provided with this information, please inform school management.

Grievance Procedure

If you have a complaint or concern about your educational experience at Divergence Academy, we encourage you to follow this process:

  1. Step 1 — Contact your instructor or program lead. Many issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication with the people closest to your learning experience.
  2. Step 2 — Submit a written complaint to school administration. If your concern is not resolved in Step 1, submit a written description of your complaint to:

    Include your name, program of enrollment, a detailed description of the issue, and the resolution you are seeking.
  3. Step 3 — Review and response. School administration will review your complaint and provide a written response within ten (10) business days of receipt. If additional time is needed to investigate, you will be notified of the expected timeline.
  4. Step 4 — Appeal. If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided, you may submit a written appeal to the school director within five (5) business days of receiving the response. The director will review the matter and issue a final determination within ten (10) business days.

Filing a Complaint with TWC

Students dissatisfied with this school's response to their complaint or who are not able to file a complaint with the school, can file a formal complaint with TWC, as well as other relevant agencies or accreditors, if applicable.
